Mitsubishi Electric partners with JTL for training

Mitsubishi Electric’s Sales Director Deane Flint (pictured) said: “We have tried other providers and looked at alternatives but JTL offered a significantly better provision. We review the support offered to our apprentices regularly and looking closely at what JTL had to offer, along with the fact that being a charitable business, it reinvests its profits in further training provision which is an ethos we applaud, it seemed the sensible option to transfer fifty of our apprentices across to the JTL approach. We have already had good feedback from the apprentices who feel they are getting the level of support that they deserve as they head for their qualifications and a worthwhile career.”

Mitsubishi Electric has linked up with a leading work-based learning company, JTL, to train 50 air conditioning apprentices for its partners in a national scheme to encourage more apprenticeships in the building services industry.

Mitsubishi Electric approached JTL after considering a range of options and the decision was made to transfer a large number of its apprentices across to the new arrangement with JTL.

The apprentices transferring across to JTL include 2nd year L2 apprentices from the 2014 cohort, 1st year L2 apprentices from the 2015 cohort and 1st year L2 apprentices and 3rd Year L3 apprentices from the 2016 cohort.

Liam Sammon from JTL said: “We’re delighted to be working closely with Mitsubishi Electric and pleased they were impressed with the apprenticeship training model that we employ.”
