The centre is designed to support the ongoing move toward low-carbon heating solutions by providing product demonstrations, installer training, and access to renewable energy technologies. It serves both trade professionals and homeowners, offering hands-on displays and stock availability for air-source heat pump systems.
The opening event, held on 18 July, was attended by Councillor Israr Ahmed and representatives from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, including Jessica McNeil, Head of Home Energy; Sophie Brook, Policy Officer; and Neil Johnson, Programme Lead for the Net Zero Regional Accelerator. Presentations addressed regional energy-efficiency goals and provided technical guidance to attendees, including installers, architects, and housebuilders.
Sales Director at James Hargreaves, Gary Beaumont, said: “It’s truly fantastic to see our fourth Sustainable Home Centre opening its doors within a James Hargreaves Plumbing Supplies branch, this time in Bradford. We’re all about building strong relationships and being a trusted partner, and this new Centre really helps us do that, connecting installers and homeowners with top-notch renewable energy solutions.”
Daikin UK’s Heating & Renewables Commercial Manager, Iain Bevan, said: “There is an essential need to educate homeowners about heat pump technology, and our Sustainable Home Centres within the James Hargreaves Plumbing Supplies branches offer the ideal platform for such endeavours.”
