Saltire specialises in heating services for residential buildings, with around 300 staff, including 200 field technicians. Its services include system installation, maintenance contracts, and round-the-clock support. The company will continue operating under its existing name as part of the Daikin group.
The acquisition supports Daikin’s strategy to build national service infrastructure for low-carbon heating technologies. Scotland has seen increased demand since the April 2024 ban on combustion boilers in new homes, with projections estimating up to 70,000 heat pump installations by 2028.
Daikin operates over 40 Sustainable Home Centres in the UK and maintains a portfolio of energy-efficient heating and cooling products. The company aims to train technicians, broaden customer access to heat pumps, and support public-sector decarbonisation goals.
