NEWS FROM J S WRIGHT

Issued: 5 March 2019

The 129-year-old company, which also has offices in Bristol and London, now occupies all three floors of Atlas House on Portland Street in Aston.

JS Wright had already been occupying the ground and first floors of the former Victorian bonded warehouse, which it moved to from Bartholomew Row in Birmingham city centre in 2006.

The 7,500sqft top floor is now home to the company’s mechanical and electrical project management and integrated management system teams. It also houses J S Wright’s new residential maintenance company Wright Maintenance, which serves homeowners and property managers across London.

The extra 50% of office space will enable JS Wright to accommodate its growing number of office staff, currently numbering 80 employees, in a business that has achieved a 70% increase in turnover over the past three years.

JS Wright has fitted out the new floor with new open-plan workstations, a large meeting and board room, breakout room and kitchen, while retaining original features including its 19th Century exposed brickwork, window openings and supporting cast-iron columns.

The company has also worked with its air conditioning partner Coolair Equipment in Cannock in installing the latest energy saving variable refrigerant flow (VRF) heating and cooling system using heat pumps from manufacturer Daikin.

Marcus Aniol, managing director of JS Wright, said: “This move will give us the room to ensure that we continue to provide the highest levels of service to our customers nationally, and it reaffirms our commitment to our roots as we approach 130 years as a Birmingham company.”
