Bitzer opens first office in Kenya

Compressor specialist Bitzer has opened an office in Nairobi, Kenya, as it looks to capitalise on growth opportunities in East Africa.

An increasing population and improved prosperity mean that Kenya offers significant opportunities and has led to a high demand for reliable refrigeration and air conditioning technology for a range of applications, including supermarket refrigeration, the floriculture and horticulture industry, meat and fish processing, restaurant chains, catering and dairy production. Hospitals, administrative buildings and hotels also require refrigeration and air conditioning technology that they can rely on.

The opening ceremony for the new Bitzer Kenya office was held at the Crowne Plaza Nairobi hotel on 17 November 2016.

The new office will report to Bitzer Middle East.

In addition to the new office, Bitzer is planning to build a certified service centre within a year, so that users can have access to its quality in service, maintenance, spare parts and training.

Stefan Leitl, managing director of Bitzer  Middle East, said: “We have recently facilitated the direct import of Bitzer goods from Germany through our local partner Frigitec Supplies Ltd. Users will therefore have access to a large volume of certified Bitzer products at reasonable prices.”

The local representative is Tariq Zaffar, resident engineer, tel: +254 (0)708 114 582 or email: tariq@bitzer.ae

The office address is: Landmark Offices, 4th Floor, Cavendish Block, 14 Riverside Business Park, 14 Riverside Drive, P.O. BOX 10798-00101, Nairobi, Kenya.
