LG is still no.1

LG Electronics has been named as the top-selling air conditioning product for the seventh consecutive year by Japanese market research company Fuji-Keizai.
According to the latest figures, 62.97 million air conditioning units were sold worldwide in 2006, with LG responsible for 19.5% of the total, or 12.28 million units.

In terms of sales value, Carrier is still the top company worldwide, followed by Trane, Daikin and York

This year, LG plans to expand its overseas production rate to 60%, with a production target of 16 million air conditioners. The company's overseas production rate in 2006 was 55%, accounting for 14.80 million units.

As a company, air conditioning accounts for 12% of LG's turnover.
