The Bond Group has announced that managing director Chris Woollett is retiring after 25 years of loyal service.
Over the past 25 years he has overseen the continued growth of the company’s core remanufacturing business, along with the successful development of the new Dallas and Chicago cabinet ranges, now built in both Telford and Sheerness factories.
Chris’s passion for remanufacturing and UK manufactured cabinets, both within the refrigeration industry and beyond into the government policies such as ‘Circular economy’, helped him to win the converted Gold Award at the 2014 Cooling Awards.
In 1999 Chris took control of The Bond Group with a management buyout team and, despite challenging trading conditions, leaves the company in a strong financial and market position.
The company has appointed a management board to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business and to deliver the next successful chapter in its future.
In the months ahead the company is set to launch its new freezer range — the latest products to be developed at its Sheerness design centre.
