Dantherm Group acquires Master Climate Solutions Group (MCS)

Dantherm has acquired the Master Climate Solutions Group (MCS) from the Italian private equity firm Alcedo SGR.

With headquarters in Italy, MCS has subsidiaries in Poland, Russia, Spain and China.

MCS is a global supplier of portable equipment for heating, dehumidification, cooling and ventilation, for professional applications in a variety of sectors and has more than 60 years of experience.

The acquisition is a key move in Dantherm’s expansion plans following the acquisitions of Calorex Heat Pumps Ltd in the UK and Schönmann AG in Switzerland in 2016. The Dantherm Group’s revenue will now exceed €100m and it will employ more than 500 people in 12 countries.

Dantherm Group ceo Torben Duer said: “The acquisition of MCS allows us to greatly expand our range of portable products and become a global market leader specialising in climate control. We are excited about the opportunities that MCS provides in terms of market presence and product offering to existing and new partners and customers”.

MCS and Dantherm will continue to operate in the market as two independent brands and will be able to take advantage of each other's market and product strengths, forming a strong basis for the increased growth of both companies.
