Walter Meier acquires evaporative cooling firm

WALTER Meier has acquired the US portable evaporative cooling unit company Port-A-Cool.
This new acquisition follows last year's takeovers of JS Humidifiers and ML System, prompting CEO Silvan Meier to explain: 'Given that we are the global leader in commercial and industrial air humidification, this further expansion into evaporative cooling is a natural step for us because both applications are based on the same technology.'

Port-A-Cool recorded sales of more than $70m in 2011.
