Energy efficiency grant for IoR
THE Institute of Refrigeration is one of a number of industry bodies to have received energy efficiency funding from The Carbon Trust. The Cold Storage and Distributions Federation, the Building Controls Industry Association and the IoR all received £20,000 towards promoting energy efficiency and carbon emission reductions.

Denman bags Sainsbury contract
THE Denman Group has secured a three-year deal with Sainsbury's Stores Ltd to be the single source of supply for FM solutions for all Sainsbury's convenience stores throughout the UK. This totals 112 locations and includes fridge service and maintenance, and m&e services.

GERMAN industrial group Linde has finally been successful with an £8.2bn bid for UK gas firm BOC. This latest offer follows last month's £7.6bn bid which was rejected by BOC.
