JAPANESE air conditioning manufacturer Daikin has contacted police in Australia after the launch of a website which the company says falsely claims to be Daikin Air Australia and New Zealand. Daikin says it considers the website a serious breach of brand, copyright and intellectual property.

CIBSE is now calling for the lodgement of air conditioning inspections to be made mandatory. With the implementation of lower 12kW threshold for air conditioning inspections on January 4th, most air conditioned spaces of over 2,000ft2 now fall within the regulations and CIBSE feels it is time to act on compliance.
