Blast chiller is first to use new HFO refrigerant
UK: Commercial refrigeration manufacturer Precision has launched what is believed to be the world's first blast chiller running on a new low GWP HFO refrigerant.

Honeywell offers Daimler help to find R1234yf solution
GERMANY: Following a meeting with Mercedes-Benz earlier today, refrigerant manufacturer Honeywell says it did not see any evidence that the car manufacturer's findings into the safety of the refrigerant HFO1234yf had added any substantial new information to previous comprehensive risk assessments.

"Yes" to a realistic HFC phase down, "no" to bans

GERMANY: Daimler, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz cars, has said it will not be using the new HFO refrigerant R1234yf in its vehicle air conditioning systems. Instead, it says it wishes to continue using R134a.
