J S Wright appoints senior mechanical estimator

J S Wright has boosted its ongoing expansion programme with the appointment of Steve Woollam as senior mechanical estimator.

J S Wright has boosted its ongoing expansion programme with the appointment of Steve Woollam as senior mechanical estimator.

He has more than 40 years’ experience in forecasting costs for commercial and domestic building projects and will support the award-winning company’s offices in Birmingham, Bristol and London.

Based at its Aston headquarters, he will work with J S Wright’s national design and estimating director Andrew Smith in costing all mechanical-related projects before tender adjudication.

Steve has worked as a senior estimator for major engineering companies on projects ranging from Sky TV’s head office in London, to HSBC’s new UK headquarters in Birmingham.

He started work in 1975 with an engineering company in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, He joins J S Wright after a period of 15 years as a senior mechanical estimator with a building services provider in Telford.

J S Wright, which is about to start work on a new £27m M&E contract to equip London’s new luxury Keybridge development incorporating Britain’s tallest brick residential tower, achieved record-breaking sales of over £30m last year and is on course to becoming a £50m business next year.
