IOR and A-Gas host a cool talk for service engineers

On Thursday 17th November the Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) and A-Gas are holding a breakfast morning for service engineers and technicians where there will be practical advice from experts on new refrigerants.

Hosted by A-Gas at its Portbury site near Bristol, the event offers the chance to ask questions about this topical issue, introduce the IOR and enables attendees to meet others working in the area.

There will be three short talks giving information on using some of the new low GWP refrigerants starting to come into the market. It will cover questions such as – What is different about HFO refrigerants? What does wide glide refrigerant mean in practice? How can you prevent component failure? There will also be the opportunity to suggest other topics that could be covered at future breakfast events.

The programme is as follows:

08.30 Arrival for coffee/tea and bacon rolls

09.30 Introduction to the IOR and welcome

09.40 Three short talks - Refrigerants and components update

  • Refrigerant options after F Gas by John Ormerod, A-Gas
  • Using flammables safely by Jane Gartshore and Steve Benton, Cool Concerns

Chiller CyberCool WaterTec - Water cooled

Forward-thinking, environmentally friendly  and efficient The CyberCool WaterTec is a water-cooled chiller that combines all the relevant factors: the design is compact and maintenance friendly, the Turbocor technology is optimized for partial loads, and, in a forward-thinking manner, refrigerant quantities are minimized with the simultaneous use of a refrigerant that has a very low global warming potential.
