ebm-papst announces new appointment

The ebm-papst Group has appointed Stefan Brandl as chairman of the board of directors.

The ebm-papst Group has appointed Stefan Brandl as chairman of the board of directors.

He will officially take up his post on 1st January 2017. Thomas Wagner will continue until then as spokesman for the board of directors of the corporate group.

As a member of the group’s board of directors, for the past six months Mr Brandl has led the strategic course of the company together with his colleagues. He has been working for the company since 1991 and heads up the Landshut division.

He graduated from the University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule) in Schweinfurt, where he studied Electrotechnology, specialising in Energy Technology. As a qualified engineer, he then began his career with our corporate group in 1991. Since then, he has held a number of different management positions at ebm-papst.

Since February 2007 he has been managing director at ebm-papst Landshut GmbH and since May 2016, group managing director of the ebm-papst Group.
