The new A-Gas team in Canada.
The business in Canada will be led by Louise McCann who has worked within A-Gas for 14 years and has managed other regions of the A-Gas business, most recently, Asia Pacific. When asked about the Canada expansion, Louise said: “A-Gas recognises Canada as a country where we can leverage our skills and expertise from around the globe to develop innovative and sustainable market solutions. It is our intention to become a large-scale, long term market participant and we are committed to furthering our investment directly in Canada to enable this. A-Gas already has some strong relationships within Canada, having participated in the reclaimed refrigerant market for several years.”
Jim Flowers, will join the team as the new business director of A-Gas Canada. Jim was previously manager of market development for packaged chemicals and refrigerants for Linde Canada. He said: “The recent implementation of the HFC allowance system in Canada will bring new challenges and opportunities in the Canadian market for real change. I am excited about the opportunity with A-Gas to make instrumental changes to support this developing market.”
A-Gas is an international company with trading subsidiaries in Europe, South Africa, Australia, China, Singapore, Thailand and the Americas. The company continues to grow worldwide; it has acquired four refrigerant businesses since the mid-2017 investment in the company by private equity firm, KKR, and continues to expand into new markets (such as Canada) as part of A-Gas’ wider global growth plan.
