UK apprentice is WorldSkills medalist

GERMANY: Canada's Michael Scheideman and Korea's Woo Yule Kim took the gold medals in the Refrigeration category of the WorldSkills competition that came to an end in Leipzig on Sunday.

Bronze medals went to competitors from Chinese Taipei, Brazil and China.

The UK's Steven Burge, 19, (pictured above) of Hampshire-based Cosham Refrigeration was one of ten winners of Medallions of Excellence. Steven is an apprentice at Eastleigh College, where he is the holder of the College's own prize for Outstanding Achievement.
