Coolfactor, the air-conditioining firm bought by heating firm PH Jones last March, has a new managing director tasked with growing the business in the North.

Geoff Turton, a former director of MITIE Air Conditioning (North), was appointed to turn the south-centric firm into a nationwide business.

Coolfactor, based in Bexley, Kent, provides cooling, ventilation, data cabling installation and maintenance to the UK commercial sector but had no presence in the North.

PH Jones brought in Geoff Turton for his ability and experience in developing business in the north and will be based in Runcorn.

Coolfactor was founded by former managing director Tony Philip. Geoff Turton and director Tony Phillp both directly report to Andrew Knight, Coolfactor group chairman who reports to Martin Jones, the managing director of PH Jones.

PH Jones headquartered in Malpas, Cheshire employs more than 900 staff in 30 regional UK offices.
