The sound of silence: Aspen launches its new, inaudible mini pump

When Aspen Pumps Group was developing the product name for its latest condensate removal mini pump, it didn’t take long. It’s called the Silent+ Mini White because you just can’t hear it. At a level of only 16dB, it’s the quietest mini pump on the market. To give this statistic context, silence has a decibel level of 0 and a whisper a decibel level of 30, so this pump will be a boon to the residential market where the reduction of ambient noise is a crucial factor; it will also be a significant addition to an HVAC/R engineer’s tool kit. As USPs go ‘silence’ is major, but Aspen has built in many more features to the Silent+ Mini White that make it the very best in its class.

First, let’s deal with performance: it delivers a flow rate of 45 l/h at 0m to 23 l/h at 10m head and it only uses 2w. Its intelligent technology enables it to self-adapt to the incoming rate of condensate flow through variable speed technology, in conjunction with an active capacitance sensor, a first in the HVAC/R industry. This not only saves energy, but also makes this mini pump suitable for use with the most powerful mini splits on the market, even considering summer temperatures and increased relative humidity, which generates significantly higher rates of condensate flow.

When it comes to installation and aftercare, nothing could be simpler: it’s fast and simple to fit, straight out of the box with no on-site set up needed; it has a unique contamination-resistant sensor and a double-insulated reservoir which eliminates condensation; it’s simple to unclip for cleaning and maintenance and has a three-stage filtration system which reduces maintenance visits. The Silent+ Mini White also has a thermally protected maintenance-free motor and NO/NC relay high level safety to prevent water damage in the event of a system failure.

Aesthetically, this mini pump solves a lot of problems: its low-profile design means it can be positioned within high wall unit shadow line; it’s reversible so can be fitted either side of the unit and it blends in perfectly, complementing leading manufacturers’ high wall equipment. And everything the engineer needs is in the plastic-free box (all the accessories are packed in paper envelopes), and the template is printed on the inside of the lid.

The company always uses customer feedback and its own engineering antennae to inform new product developments, of which the Silent+ Mini White is the latest. If you’re looking for a condensate removal pump that that’s powerful, versatile, reliable and silent, it’s here: www.aspenpumps.co.uk/silent+miniwhite
