Thailand factory will be Toshiba Carrier's largest

THAILAND: Newspapers in the Far East are reporting that Toshiba Carrier is building a new £40m air conditioning factory in Thailand, doubling its current production capacity in that country and accounting for more than 70% of its global capacity.
Construction has already begun on the new facility which is next door to its exiting plant in Pathumthani. It is expected to be completed in February and will become the company's largest air conditioning factory.

The new facility will produce light-commercial air-conditioners and VRF systems. Virtualy all the products are destined for export to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and North America.

Toshiba Carrier (Thailand) is a joint venture between Toshiba Carrier Corporation Japan and Carrier Corporation, USA, established in 1999. The factory was built by Toshiba in 1990 producing high wall split systems, multi-splits, consoles/under-ceiling and window type products.
