Refrion coolers chosen for Russian football stadiums

Refrion ceo Daniele Stolfo said: "Investing in research and innovation has allowed us to maintain a high level of competitiveness over the years and to introduce high powered solutions to the market; solutions which, while ensuring the highest levels of efficiency, are perfect for industrial applications. A prerogative for the Group, one that rewards us today and makes us proud, since it allows us to fly the ‘Made in Italy’ banner even higher, even in a specialised manufacturing sector such as that of cooling, refrigeration and conditioning units."

Italian company Refrion, a leader in the European air-cooled and industrial equipment sector, has announced that its cooling units will be installed at two of the stadiums being built for the next Football World Cup, which takes place in June 2018 in Russia.

A total of eight units will be installed at the Volgograd (Leningrad) and Nižnij Novgorod venues. The prestigious contract will help the group to achieve sales of around €25m for 2017.

Refrion’s fluid coolers were also chosen for the new headquarters of the multi-national firm Trivago in Dusseldorf. Its coolers have also previously been used at the Bern stadium at the European Football Championships and at the Warsaw stadium in 2012, where one of the finals of the European Football Championships held in Poland and Ukraine was played.
