Refrigerants – a key part of the sustainability solution for net zero

Since the Montreal Protocol, the RACHP sector has had to find a series of alternative solutions first to ozone-depleting and more recently to higher GWP refrigerants.  But there is still a lot of work to be done to address the large quantities of HFC in the installed bank.

Ken Logan.

Are businesses suitably prepared to deal with their legal obligations related to refrigerants?  Transitioning to the use of lower global warming refrigerants and at the same time recovering, reclaiming, or destroying (where no re-use is possible), all the legacy refrigerants in the installed bank will be a massive challenge for users of cooling equipment, but it remains one of the most economically viable, realistic and practical environmental circular economy solutions for the future of our industry on our journey to net zero.

Find out more about how practical Lifecycle Refrigerant Management strategies being implemented by leading businesses are helping to make our industry more sustainable with Ken Logan from A-Gas at the IOR annual conference on 1st December.
