Ultimately, we are minimising any risk of disruption to our customers vital operations, ensuring timely and reliable delivery of products,” explained Jose Alves, Panasonic’s regional director for UK, Ireland and Netherlands.
Now fully operational, the new warehouse has a storage capacity of over 5,000m3 of key Panasonic heating and cooling products. It joins the company’s existing warehouses that deliver nationwide.
The new location also gives strategic access to the midlands and the north. With more localised warehouse facilities, customers and distribution centres could be afforded reduced lead times and a more resilient supply chain. Additionally, the decreased distance between the product and its destination will cut the carbon emissions from delivery journeys, making steps towards Panasonic’s key sustainability goals.
