During his professional career as senior vice president at DWM Copeland, Jochen Winkler was committed to his customers throughout Europe and to cross-company cooperation’s in standardisation, certification and international cooperation.

Asercom was founded in 1992 as the Association of European Compressor Manufacturers with a significant contribution by Mr Winkler.

In his three years as a board member and 17 years as an independent president, he developed Asercom into a strong voice of the European and worldwide Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry. On his initiative, the successful certification programmes for compressors and condensing units were launched.

As a recognised and valued interlocutor, he had been very successful for Asercom on all continents. He succeeded in positioning the association as a strong partner in standardisation work and in bringing the international standard bodies from the USA and China together to jointly establish new product standards.

It is also thanks to his special commitment that the Asercom experts are frequently consulted before decisions are made in Brussels, as the association is perceived as having competent and balanced positions in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry.
