Major European AHU manufacturer enters UK market

UK: The leading Dutch air handling unit manufacturer Orange Climate Group is to launch into the UK market.
Major European AHU manufacturer enters UK market
The Dutch parent company, based in De Meern, Utrecht, has called on Richard Ward to head up the UK operation. As a former deputy md at Toshiba Carrier UK, Richard Ward has substantial previous experience in air handling. He also introduced the Holland Heating air handling units range into the UK when it was purchased by Carrier, more than ten years ago (Holland Heating was sold by Carrier last month to Systemair).

Richard Ward now hopes to have even greater success with the Eurovent-certified, high quality, modular Verhulst air conditioning ranges that Orange Climate Group UK will be selling under the Orange Climate brand. 'There is no doubt at all about the pedigree of this product', says Ward.

'It has everything that the UK could want for refurbishment projects and new build. Indeed, it proved popular when sold in the UK a few years ago under an agency arrangement. So I am optimistic that there will be lots of enquiries for the new literature. We are launching a website, of course, but perhaps most importantly of all, our service model has been re-thought from first principles to guarantee performance and delivery.

'It will be a very personal service based on life-cycle thinking - with equipment able to be 'tuned' to suit precise and changing circumstances in particular buildings.'

Prestigious installations
The UK does have some high-profile examples of Verhulst air handling units; older versions of the latest Orange Climate VKT units are operating successfully in prestigious UK projects such as the Bull Ring, Birmingham, St George's Hospital, Festival Place, Basingstoke and numerous other high profile commercial locations.

In Holland, some of OCG's latest high profile projects include: the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, the Mauritshuise Museum in the Hague and the Amsterdam Arena, home of Ajax FC

In-house expertise
Unlike many other manufacturers Verhulst says it has retained all of its expertise in-house, and designs and manufactures products from scratch. It has invested heavily in recent years in on-site paint-shop facilities and robotic cutting and construction which has ensured its reputation for quality is retained while enabling it to be highly competitive on price, and very flexible in meeting customer requirements.
