The Linkedin group will be a place to share tips and opportunities to engage with young people and promote the RACHP sector and careers

Anyone can join the RACHP STEM – raising awareness of careers in cooling group to get ideas for experiments aimed at school-age young people and to exchange information on career fairs or school talk opportunities. We hope that it will also become a forum for companies able to offer work placements and recruiting apprentices.

Commenting on the launch of the Linkedin group, Lisa-Jayne Cook IOR Education Committee Member said: “I’m delighted to see the launch of the new RACHP STEM – Raising Awareness of Careers in Cooling LinkedIn page.  This is fantastic opportunity for us to not only share resources for careers talks and STEM activities but also for us to share our own journeys and stories with our colleagues and peers.  As we bank our resources, being an active STEM Ambassador will be easier than ever for the growing number of Role Models from within the RACHP sector.   The IOR recognises the importance of Role Models and the life changing impact they can have on young people; bringing STEM subjects and careers to life right before their eyes; and as such, this new initiative reaffirms our commitment to the furtherance of the industry through our investment in future talent.”
