Improving workflow

Air filter manufacturer AAF has transferred its production lines from the former bath house at Linton Colliery to its sister company's open-plan facility at Cramlington.
The move has allowed the management to introduce a more efficient layout for the production of its Amerglas panel and Dirpak bag filter ranges, increase storage capacity of finished products and reduce order lead times.

Value of the finished products in stock at the new 12m high location is now up to £300,000 with an additional £8m back-up in The Netherlands, France and Spain on next day call.
