Grimsby Ice Factory information on Facebook page

The Grimsby Ice Factory now has a report of a recent conference held at Ironbridge Gorge Museum by the Association of Industrial Archaeology on its Facebook page.

‘Speaking Up for Industrial Archaeology’ gave a number of case studies and practical advice sessions at a time when funding for all heritage projects is very tight. A PDF report on the whole day can be downloaded or some illustrated highlights viewed on the main page.

In addition, there are links to the factory’s popular You Tube video interviews with former staff.

When the Ice Factory’s main website was hacked, it also lost the ‘Project Ice’ website which hosted the interviews. However, now the Great GIFT website is up and running again at http://www.ggift.co.uk the trust is looking at the best way to restore Project Ice.

For more information contact Graeme Bassett, secretary, Great Grimsby Ice Factory Trust, 16 Philip Avenue, Cleethorpes, DN35 9DJ, tel 07963 806897 or visit http://www.ggift.co.uk; http://www.facebook.com/pages/Great-Grimsby-Ice-Factory-Trust/221294387903655; https://twitter.com/GreatGIFT1
