Daikin buy blows away air filter competition

DAIKIN Industries is set to acquire Japan's largest air filter manufacturer Nippon Muki for around £33m.
This latest acquisition combined with the AAF business acquired as part of the OYL Group purchase in 2007, will give Daikin a global leading position in the air filter market with sales in excess of £467m.

AAF, with over 20 production bases around the world and an extensive sales network, currently holds number two position in the world

'With the acquisition of Nippon Muki, Daikin will grow the number one position in the global air filter business through the expansion of both companies, including accelerated development and launch of products with high performance and functionality,' said a company statement.
