Climaveneta targets telecommunications sector

Over the past few decades increasing attention has been paid to improving energy efficiency inside telecommunications applications. In response, Climaveneta has introduced Telecom Solutions, a completely renovated range of air conditioning products designed to cool shelters, containers and base stations safely and efficiently.

The core element of the new series is the expansion of the product line with three new inverter versions, which the company claims makes the new range the widest offering with this technology available on the market. Coming from over a decade of experience in designing high efficiency inverter products, the new versions incorporate the latest generation DC Inverter Brushless compressors, electronic thermostatic valves and EC fans, all synergistically combined together to achieve premium results. An advanced cooperation mix among the three components that is particularly useful when the units are working at partial load; that is around 75% of the system’s operating time.

Telecom Solutions air conditioners are also characterised by the ability to operate, whenever possible and convenient, in free cooling mode. This means that the units are able to harness the full potential of outdoor air, which is provided for free, to cool the indoor environment. The free cooling damper is directly integrated into the unit and it automatically adjusts the airflow according to the inside thermal load, reducing the compressor’s workload to a minimum.

In addition, in existing plants where there is no need to substitute old machines, Climaveneta offers the opportunity to add the free cooling function at a later date thanks to the FKO/FKI Free Coolers. These units can either be combined with indoor air conditioners or work on a stand-alone configuration, getting the best advantage from the free cooling operation in all possible installations.

Fitted with high class components, which are guaranteed by leading companies in the telecoms sector, all products are designed for ensuring total operational reliability.

In the case of an emergency, the unit’s operation is 100% guaranteed by the automatic switch of the evaporating damper, controller and fan to the 48V power source. Again, with extreme weather conditions, the air conditioner has a design layout that ensures effective operation, even with outdoor temperatures of around 48°C.

The new range will be available with cooling capacities from 1.5 to 20kW, for indoor and outdoor installation, either in the on/off or inverter version.
