Carrier and Daikin report summer successes

THE world's top two air conditioning companies continue to battle it out for the number 1 spot with both reporting recent successes.
Japanese manufacturer Daikin, which is looking to overtake Carrier as the largest air conditioning manufacturer, reported large sales increases in July. Sales in Europe, alone, are said to have increased by 30% compared to July 2009. The company has now increased its sales forecast to £7.5bn for the year ending March 31.

Meanwhile, US competitor Carrier has today announced the placing of a chiller purchasing contract worth over £19m by a leading real estate company in China.

The contract from the Dalian Wanda Group is expected to include up to 200 Evergreen 19XR centrifugal chillers and 100 Aquaforce 30XW screw chillers.
