Aspen celebrates storming 25th year

Aspen Pumps, one of the UK's market leaders in condensate removal pumps and accessories, is celebrating a highly successful 25th anniversary year.

Aspen Pumps staff raised money on 'Wear it Pink' day to fund life-saving breast cancer research.

The East Sussex-based business has seen continued growth in 2017 following the launch of a raft of innovative products, a number of key business acquisitions, and its core condensate pump market going from strength to strength.

During 2017, Aspen Pumps’ new products led the way in the market with the launch of its award-winning Storm Chemicals range, adding an entirely new product type to its portfolio, and the introduction of its successful Max Hi-Flow tank pump.

The company saw further expansion due to its acquisitions of Salina SAS, a French distributor of acr ancillaries, adding an administrative office in Paris and an operational hub in Normandy. Further investment followed in Javac UK, one of the UK’s leading acr tool specialists.

This year also marked the 25th birthday of Aspen Pumps' iconic Mini Orange condensate pump, one of its very first products, that is as popular now as it was in 1992.

Commitment to innovation, expert knowledge of the industry and global marketing achievements have seen the business flourish. In the last 10 years alone, Aspen has trebled in size and attained a global reach, trading in over 100 countries and with business premises on four continents.

Adrian Thompson, chief executive of Aspen Pumps said: “2017 has been another great year for the Aspen Pumps Group. We have continued our global expansion through acquisitions, investment in sales resource and product innovation. Overall, the Group has delivered record growth; this is all down to the hard work and dedication of the Aspen team.”

However, growth has not only been achieved through acquisitions, and Aspen Pumps is also known for its technological firsts. In 2017 Aspen Pumps saw an entirely new product type added to its portfolio with the launch of Storm Chemicals, a range of innovative products designed to clean and maintain acr equipment.

Developed to meet the needs of today’s challenging acr maintenance requirements, Storm Chemicals have been formulated to promote a healthy indoor environment and improve energy efficiency.

Within the range, the award-winning Storm Green XL is the first sector-specific probiotic cleaning technology on the market. The revolutionary Storm Green XL offers a step change for the sector, using microscopic deep cleaning technology to provide a long-lasting deep clean beyond the microscopic layer (biofilm), ensuring a product remains clean between service intervals.

Meanwhile, the launch of the Max Hi-Flow offered an evolution in tank pumps, providing best-in-class performance and build quality, as well as being the safest and quietest tank pump on the market. Making specification simple, the Max Hi-Flow replaces all Aspen Pumps’ existing tank pumps, the 0.5L, 1L and 2L Hi-Flow, allowing distributors to hold less stock and contractors to stock fewer pumps in their vans.

Throughout this anniversary year, Aspen and its staff have continued to support a range of charities, including raising an impressive £2,445 for local children’s hospice Chestnut Tree House, when 11 staff members cycled from the company’s headquarters in Hailsham, East Sussex all the way to Paris.

Also in June, an eight strong team of women from Aspen took on the challenge of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life in Eastbourne to raise money for research into over 200 types of cancer.
