ASERCOM + EPEE Symposium shows the refrigeration industry the way into the future

The refrigeration industry is facing decisive changes. EU reforms such as the redefinition of energy efficiency objectives and the associated new ecodesign standards along with the F-Gas Regulation make it essential to keep abreast of regulatory developments.

At the ASERCOM + EPEE Symposium, the industry meeting held the day before Chillventa in Nürnberg (14-16 October 2014), refrigeration and air-conditioning specialists will be able to learn first hand about all the innovations, impacts and solutions related to these pressing issues. The established discussion and networking event gives every participant the best chances to prepare effectively for the future: Those who keep abreast of events and stay comprehensively informed maximise their ability to act, as the reforms are entering into force in 2014 and have in some cases already taken effect.

ASERCOM, the Association of European Refrigeration Components Manufacturers, has been representing the interests of the industry since 1992. This will be in evidence on 13 October 2014, when ASERCOM and EPEE will again be convening the joint symposium as part of the Chillventa event. From 13:00 - 17:00 experts from both associations will hold a Q&A session in NCC East's St. Petersburg conference room. With their accumulated expertise, they will provide insights into the far-reaching effects that the EU Ecodesign and F-Gas Regulations will have on the industry, and will propose practical approaches to implementation and solutions.

As part of these new EU regulations, it is above all market surveillance that will have a greater role to play. The current state of affairs, whether this type of monitoring works and what it means for manufacturers, dealers and consumers will be addressed by speakers from ASERCOM and EPEE as part of a further symposium session. The main focus here will be on ASERCOM's new certification programme for condensing units developed in conjunction with the leading manufacturers of the refrigeration industry.

A get-together held after the symposium will give all visitors and participants the perfect opportunity to network, discuss, and clarify any final questions.

You can find a detailed overview of the symposium and how to register at www.chillventa.de/en/supportingprogramme/congressing/.
