AIM Logistics targets new European markets

AIM Logistics, the Evesham-based UK and European temperature controlled and container shipping specialist, has expanded its 50-strong vehicle fleet with the addition of three Cool Liners from Krone.

Established in 2004 with just two vehicles, AIM Logistics has grown rapidly and has plans for further development on an international scale - Ireland is targeted in the near future, followed by Spain, Italy and Portugal.

In addition to its traditional UK work, the company provides an end-to-end cold chain logistics service, including ambient frozen palletised loads, to customers in France, Belgium and Holland.

Director Ismail Elmagdoub attributes much of the company’s success to hard work and getting it right for the customer every time. “When we started, our mantra was all about customer service and it still remains central to our operation today. In 2004, our clients were able to communicate at all levels - from driver to director - and after 10 years of year-on-year growth, that remains the case.”

Mr Elmagdoub adds that to maintain a high quality service, his company depends on a high standard of equipment . Accordingly, when making further moves onto the continent, it was important to select trailers with a full European specification. Further, AIM Logistics is expecting to experience low running costs and an eventual high residual value for the Cool Liners. “These trailers fit well with our commercial plan and are well proven in the European market,” Mr Elmagdoub said.
