Advanced Engineering invests in the future

Advanced Engineering, a leading manufacturer and supplier to the air conditioning and refrigeration industry, is supporting the next generation of engineers by donating 25 new Promax refrigeration recovery units to the College of North West London.

Previously, students training there for careers as air conditioning and refrigeration engineers, were learning their trade on ageing equipment, which was costing the College approximately £3,000 a year in service and maintenance costs alone. However, thanks to Advanced’s generosity, the trainees now have more than £33,000 worth of new equipment at their disposal.

The donation – the company’s largest to date – includes 15 Promax Minimax and 10 Promax RG6-E refrigerant recovery machines.

'These new machines will allow our students and apprentices to gain experience working with some of the industry’s most important technology,' said Vito Martino, Department Head at the College of North West London. “And that will pay dividends for them, as well as their future employers. We are delighted to have Advanced Engineering’s support for our refrigeration and air conditioning learners and look forward to our ongoing partnership.”

Alongside the units, Advanced Engineering has given the College a three-year package of support that ensures that, should the need arise, the units will be repaired to a good working standard at no cost to the College.

Luke Levans, sales manager at Advanced Engineering said: “We know how important it is to have the right equipment when you’re in training, so we’re donating these brand-new units to help the students learn in the best way possible, on the most up-to-date equipment.

“Our partners at the College have been doing fantastic work with these young people, so we’re doing our bit, as they usher through the next wave of air conditioning and refrigeration experts.”
