Advanced Engineering invests in refrigeration apprenticeships

Advanced Engineering has announced ambitious plans to support UK refrigeration apprenticeships, starting with a donation of AC&R equipment worth £15,000 to Eastleigh College.

The donation is part of a major three-year investment in apprenticeships that will see the same amount pledged to every major college in the UK that provides apprentice refrigeration courses.

Chairman of Advanced Engineering, Barry Lea, said: “Service engineers are the lifeblood of our industry and we want to support the next generation of apprentices with the very best equipment available. We’ve donated 10 free recovery machines from the world-renowned Promax family to Eastleigh College, including six of the bestselling Minimax models and four of the new top-of-the-line RG6-E refrigerant recovery machines.”

The charitable donation comes at a crucial time for refrigeration training providers; with the new A2L refrigerants starting to come in, engineers need new equipment which is able to safely handle the new mildly flammable refrigerants.

“Every Promax recovery machine is compatible with the new mildly flammable refrigerants like R32, while their robust, dependable construction means they will stand the toughest treatment for many generations of apprentices,” added Mr Lea.
