TNG welcomes the next generation

Independent mechanical and electrical engineering building services consultancy, TNG (formerly Henderson Green), has recruited two design engineers, expanding its team.

Independent mechanical and electrical engineering building services consultancy, TNG (formerly Henderson Green), has recruited two design engineers, expanding its team.

Maxim Dragon and Craig Oliver will help to enhance the skills within the mechanical and electrical design teams and also reinforce the future ‘next generation’ of the company.

An electrical engineer, Maxim has a decade of engineering experience in the construction industry and specialises in local authority properties, such as schools, museums, libraries and care homes. He also holds security clearances which enable him to work on MOD projects.

Craig is a mechanical engineer and brings a wealth of experience to the company that spans a variety of sectors. He has benefited from working for nationally-sized consulting engineering companies throughout his career, giving him a good understanding of a diverse range of project and client requirements.

Two of TNG's apprentices, Zak French and Shannen Birks, have also completed the first stage of their training. Zak, a junior electrical engineer and Shannen, a junior mechanical engineer have both been with the company since 2014 and are currently completing their final assignments for the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Building Services Engineering at Southampton City College. They are both hoping to progress to the next stage which will involve studying part-time for a Building Services HND at London South Bank University.

Jonathan Clark, an Intermediate CAD Technician, and another of TNG's apprentices, will also complete his BTEC Level 3 Diploma at Southampton City College in June. Studying Building Services Engineering has equipped Jon with a greater depth of engineering knowledge which has been a huge benefit to his current role as Jon will progress to the grade of CAD technician in the summer.

TNG will begin searching for a new junior engineer this summer. Assisting with the recruitment is Tom Croucher, the consultancy's first ever junior engineer who started in 2002 and is now a senior electrical engineer.
