German company tado, a leading European supplier of intelligent home climate control solutions, offers the Smart AC Control, which turns any air conditioner into a smart device.

It connects the user’s smartphone to their air conditioner. By using the phone’s location, it automatically pre-cools before the user get home and turns down when they leave to save energy. This allows the user to control their air conditioning from wherever they are. The Smart AC Control works with almost all remote-controlled air conditioners and connects to the user’s home Wi-Fi.

The control makes it possible to ensure the home is always at the perfect temperature, without the need for schedules or teaching and no need to remember to turn it off.

The free app (iOS, Android and Windows) is regularly updated with new features and functions at no cost to the user, while the device is packed with sensors ready to be unlocked.

The tado Smart AC Control works with almost all remote-controlled air conditioners and controls them via infrared (IR).

Whether you have a split, portable or window unit, tado will connect to it by replacing your old remote control. Set up is done via a simple step-by-step guide via the mobile app.

In addition, multiple Smart AC Controls can be used in the home to independently control different zones comfortably from a smartphone.

The system enables energy and cost savings to be made and is easy to set up. It can be mounted on the wall or placed on a table and no wires are required for installation.
