SIG Air Handling launches own brand

SIG Air Handling is continuing to grow and has now introduced its own brand – Cairox.

The company is now developing and distributing products for air improvement, air movement and air diffusion under its own labels, strengthening its service provision and its position in the European market.

The company started life as Ouest Ventil in France in 2001 and has since expanded to become SIG Air Handling with more than a hundred subsidiaries across Europe. It specialises in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).

Last year, the company took over three HVAC companies: HC Group (in the Netherlands and the UK), Interland Techniek (in the Netherlands) and Profant Lufttechnik Handels GmbH (in Austria). BLH GmbH (Germany) joined the group on 17 August this year and there are further plans to expand on the German market.

SIG Air Handling can now call on over a hundred distribution points in Europe and offers an extensive range of more than 15,000 products. These products are available vis its distribution outlets or from its website.

In addition, the company continues to work actively with EVIA, the European Ventilation Industry Association, and is working towards better European standards for Indoor Air Quality. In addition it is working with EFA, the European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients’ Associations. The company aims to draw attention to the issue of indoor air quality and encourage Europe to take appropriate measures.

Parent company SIG plc or Sheffield Insulation Group, founded in 1957, is a European leader in specialised solutions for the construction industry. The group is well-established in its four main product categories of Exteriors, Interiors, Insulation and Air Handling. SIG plc sells and distributes its products and services from 700 distribution outlets spread across 15 countries in Europe and the Middle East. SIG plc is a FTSE 250 company listed on the London Stock Exchange. Its annual turnover is €3.2bn and it employs around 10,000 people.
