IoR adds more Real Zero training days

DUE to the high demand for the Real Zero training days run by the Institute of Refrigeration and the Carbon Trust, further regional workshops have been added. These will be held in Manchester (19 November) and Tewkesbury (1 February 2011).

HUGH Cole, md of WR Refrigeration, is reported to have left the Leicestershire-based company after three years in the role. The company is currently being headed by Hannu Saastamoinen, ceo of parent company Huurre Group, with day-to-day responsibility for the business in the hands of WR Refrigeration's existing senior management team.

Daikin to manufacture large chillers in Japan, says Nikkei

REPORTS in Japan suggest that air conditioning manufacturer Daikin is to start production of McQuay chillers at its plant in Osaka by the end of this year. £3m pounds is to be invested in the new venture which will cover the installation of production and inspection equipment.

TECUMSEH Products Co has moved to reject a price-fixing suit brought by indirect purchasers of its refrigerant compressors, says the website Law 360. Tecumseh claims the purchasers are too far removed from the alleged conspiracy to claim it harmed them.
