Trainers forum for CO2 courses

The Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) will host a trainers forum on Monday 4 July for training providers and managers to discuss the changing education market in the wake of the passing of the F Gas individual certificate deadline.
With increasing interest in specialised short courses and certificates such as F Gas training and demand for improved skills in the handling of alternative refrigerants, the IOR say this is the right time to bring together those interested to discuss training provision.

The programme includes a session on the forthcoming City & Guilds CPD units in carbon dioxide, as well as a national carbon dioxide introductory short course endorsed by end users. Also there will be updates on initiatives such as the ACRIB SKILLcard, REAL ZERO e-learning and support for students will also be given. The morning's forum will allow delegates to highlight other issues important to them to be discussed as a group.

During the afternoon the IOR will launch its new Europe-wide e-learning programme based on REAL Zero called Real Skills Europe. Speakers will include Paul Hill, talking about how implementing REAL Zero tools and techniques across Morrison's' have improved awareness and reduced leakage. Developers will demonstrate the e-learning programme modules and assessments and those taking part in the launch can enrol to be part of a two month free trial.

The full programme for the morning's forum and booking details are available at: www.ior.org.uk

The Real Skills Europe launch event is free and is open to anyone interested in finding out more about the latest in leakage reduction, register at: www.realskillseurope.eu/events.
