Embraco claims oil-less compressor breakthrough

Daikin to manufacture large chillers in Japan, says Nikkei
REPORTS in Japan suggest that air conditioning manufacturer Daikin is to start production of McQuay chillers at its plant in Osaka by the end of this year. £3m pounds is to be invested in the new venture which will cover the installation of production and inspection equipment.

Honours accrue for Fred Jamieson
FRED Jamieson, the chairman of Ryan Jayberg who passed away earlier this year, has been added to the BRA Roll of Honour by unanimous decison of the British Refrigeration Association Council. Tecumseh moves to ditch indirect purchasers suit
TECUMSEH Products Co has moved to reject a price-fixing suit brought by indirect purchasers of its refrigerant compressors, says the website Law 360. Tecumseh claims the purchasers are too far removed from the alleged conspiracy to claim it harmed them.
