Daikin, Mitsubishi and TEV share £3.75m heat pump deal

DAIKIN, TEV (Heat King), and Mitsubishi have secured contracts to provide some 2,500 air-to water heat pumps over the next two years to UK homes that are off the gas network.
Non-profit organisations Community Energy Solutions (CES) and Renewables East tendered for heat pump suppliers to heat 2,500 off-gas homes. The contracts, for the supply and distribution of the heat pumps, are worth an estimated £3.75m.

Funded by the government's Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), CES has installed air to water heat pumps into thousands of off-gas homes in the North East. CES operations director, David Lacey said: 'The air source heat pumps produced by TEV, Mitsubishi and Daikin are quite different products and therefore, we are now able to give our partners, local authorities, social housing providers and private householders, more choice.'
