Daikin buys Dutch service and maintenance business

Daikin's Dutch subsidiary has announced an agreement to acquire ServiceNed, a Dutch company involved in the service and maintenance of chillers and applied cooling equipment in data rooms.
Daikin Air Conditioning Netherlands was founded in 2007, but the Japanese manufacturers products were previously available in Dutch market through distributors since 1967.

Since the acquisition of McQuay in 2006, Daikin has been supplying water chillers to the Dutch market, a market where manufacturers are expected to execute on-site services, such as commissioning and warranty repairs. The acquisition of ServiceNed now allows Daikin to service this need and is currently able to offer a wide range of on-site supporting activities, such as commissioning, on-site training, trouble shooting, repairs and service & maintenance.
