Conex Bänninger unveils >B< MaxiPro

A leading manufacturer of pipe fittings, valves and accessories claims it is set to “revolutionise the European and global market” with the launch of its latest innovative press fitting, >B< MaxiPro.

Since 1909, Conex Bänninger has produced over 20 billion fittings and valves, and is set to grow its market share further with the launch of its most advanced press fit product to date, with the >B< MaxiPro range to be showcased on its stand at this year’s Chillventa International Exhibition (Hall 9 / Stand 9 -124).

Specially designed to manage the demands of air conditioning and refrigeration applications, the copper >B< MaxiPro is a mechanically strong and resilient press system which is quick and simple to use, providing a secure, permanent and leak-free joint; and available in sizes ¼” to 1-1/8”. With the air-conditioning and refrigeration market currently dominated by traditional braze fittings, the >B< MaxiPro will significantly reduce installation time and cost. >B< MaxiPro is a flame-free mechanical joint, and eliminates the need for hot work permits and risk of fire on site.

>B< MaxiPro uses Conex Bänninger’s three-point-press technology, whereby three presses are made one each side of the bead and one compressing the O-ring, ensuring a permanent leak-tight joint every time.

The product is available in a host of fittings types including, Straight Coupler, Reducing Coupler, Fitting Reducer, 90° Bend, 90° Street Bend, 45° Obtuse Elbow, Equal Tee and Stop End variants.

Andreas Hinkler, sales director OEM at Conex Bänninger in Germany, said: “With the success of Conex Bänninger’s >B< MaxiPro launch in the Australian market earlier this year, we firmly believe that we have developed an innovative product that provides a best-in-class solution for contractors and installers in air conditioning and refrigeration applications.

>B< MaxiPro fittings can be used with annealed, half hard or hard copper tube that conforms to EN 12735-1 or ASTM-B280 in both air-conditioning and refrigeration applications.

>B< MaxiPro is also approved for use with a range of refrigerants, including R1234yf, R1234ze, R32, R134a, R404A, R407C, R407F, R410A, and R507.

Conex Bänninger recommends the use of Rothenberger’s tried and trusted press tools and jaws for press installations. >B< MaxiPro jaws are easily identifiably by their pink label, logo and jaw size.  A selection of recommended jaws and tools will also be available at Chillventa for visitors to view.

When professionally installed and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines, >B< MaxiPro fittings all carry a five-year guarantee against manufacturing defects.
