FETA president Neil Afram hit back at 'green' criticisms of the EC's use of high level policy groups, claiming that the bodies are unbalanced dominated by industry, and, by including MEPs in their membership, threaten consitutional confusion.
The outburst by the 'green' groups came after the final ratification of the F-gas regulations this month following extensive lobbying by the industry.
Speaking at the recent FETA lunch, Neil Afram asked 'What confusion? All we did was tell them that yes, there are options, as there have been for the past few decades; yes, we want sensible workable legislation and regulation; yes, manufacturers are not stupid enough to make inefficient, expensive and dangerous products; yes, you could and will make millions of redundancies and no, you cannot take a unilateral decision as it will create chaos and confusion.'
