Young blood signals change in refrigeration industry

A NEW report predicts a radical change in the UK refrigeration equipment industry after a wave of new appointments at boardroom level.
According to market analysts Plimsoll Publishing, there have been 316 new appointments at director level at the top 450 companies in the last 18 months.

'The reasons for the new appointments are varied,' said senior analyst David Pattison. Some have been taken on with the direct objective of finding a buyer for the company, while others look as if they have been appointed to see through a management buy-out.'

Whatever the reason, David Pattison predicts that this wave of new blood is simply the start. 'Almost a quarter of directors are over the age of 60, and we will see yet more evolution in the not too distant future.'
