Building services contractor LJJ has appointed Gerry McNally as mechanical contracts manager, as part of the continued growth of its central office in Solihull.
Mr McNally is the second mechanical contracts manager to join the team in as many months. He has 39 years’ experience in the MEP (mechanical, electrical & plumbing) sector, 20 of them as a mechanical contracts manager.
A former mechanical apprentice with City & Guilds qualifications in Plumbing, Heating, Gas & Drainage, Heating and Domestic Services and Installation of Unvented Systems Part G, Gerry has wide ranging project experience across the retail, commercial, education, leisure, healthcare, hotel and public sectors on schemes ranging in value from £50K to £2.5m. His experience includes projects for a number of major construction companies, many of whom are also regular clients of LJJ.
His first project will be the mechanical and electrical refurbishment of the 140,000sq ft former Dixons headquarters, Diamond Point, in Hemel Hampstead, where his role will include programming, pricing, submission of accurate plans, procurement and quality management.
His appointment comes as LJJ continues to grow across its three offices in Stockton-on Tees, Solihull and High Wycombe and forms part of a flurry of new roles at LJJ created to support expansion across the Midlands, the South West and Wales.
