AUSTRALIA: Competition concerns have been raised in Australia following the purchase of the country's largest commercial refrigeration company by Australia's largest supermarket chain.
The news that retailer Woolworths' has acquired Austral Refrigeration, from the receivers of the collapsed Hastie Group has led to competition enquiries according to The Australian Financial Review.

Austral Refrigeration is the largest supplier of commercial refrigeration equipment and services in Australia and responsible for servicing more than half of the Australasian retail market. It is reported to provide 60% of Woolworths' refrigeration requirements.
