WOLSELEY UK, parent company of Climate Center, has formally opened its new national distribution centre in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
The new 355,000ft2 facility comprises two buildings, linked by an enclosed bridge. It will be used primarily to supply products to Wolseley's existing regional distribution centres, in Yorkshire, Worcester, and Milton Keynes, and two more that are planned in Lancashire and the South of England.

When working at planned capacity, the new distribution centre will employ up to 250 staff and operate 147,000 storage points, enabling an annual throughput of 65 million product units.

Opening the NDC, Wolseley plc group chief executive Chip Hornsby said: 'We want to transform customer expectations of service in this industry, by providing both the widest range of products on the market, combined with unrivalled levels of availability throughout the UK.'
